Headed back up to the high peaks this morning hoping the wind wouldn't be as bad as Friday. Started 🐟 ng at 8 am tossed out my ist rod set it down on the rock but no little rock to put on my line to leave bail open. Turned around looking for one heard some scraping on the rock and my worm rod was heading to the water ugh. Caught it barely by the reel and fish on and a,good one. I land after a terrific fight a 20 inch brown. Beautiful brown. But that hot start would do it only had one more strong run in 3 hours when the wind blew me off the mtn again. The brown made my day no brookies today but it's okay.

Got there around 8 am and it was 35 degrees very windy and raining. So we decided to try and get out if the wind some and it worked but only 2 runs at 9:45 am. So we decided to go down where it's windy and brave it. It was horrible to say the least and raining . We fished out of our vehicles and I had a run right off but noone home. 15 minutes later wayne says I had enough this is horrible . Just as he said that I had runs on both rods. I land a nice brookie and a bullhead. I was hoping to get wayne our limit of trout for dinner but it didn't happen on this dayIMG_20210420_104827.jpg
Man, you can pull fish out of so many places from shore. We are no good when it comes to fishing off of land. A while back Matt, you had recognized a picture of me at our favorite launch, and had said you like to fish near there. I thought, man, there's some observation and memory skills, pretty sure I could never do that from looking at a picture.

Well, guess I was wrong. We drive by this spot at least a couple times a year. The boys and I have always wondered if there were fish in there. Now we know.

Brook Trout is another one of the species that we have never caught. Beautiful spot, beautiful fish.

4/27/2021 and 4/28/2021 was invited up to high peaks resort in lake placid for fishing. The plan was a trout pond Tuesday and lake mirror Wednesday for salmon rainbows and Lakers.it was very cold Tuesday so I headed out later and met up with a friend at the Access to the pond. We had to walk in and took about half hour my ist time in trout pond in 2 years felt good. Started fishing with 3 worm rods. Nothing for awhile then a good run and noone home. Then another later and same noone home. Then Ryan and his son had to leave told them I would be all right. When I got back to the rofs one was on the ground pork picked it up and fish on and a good one but it crossed my other rod and the line was in brush ugh. My bail was closed because I couldn't get down to put a rock on it was on a,slight incline. Make a long story short it broke me off in the brush. Then I decided to scout the pond big mistake took the wrong trail and ended up on the main road half mile from my vehicle. Ugh. So I headed to the resort. Fished from my room in thwente evening with one run and 2 follows. Then day to got up early and started fishing again from my room . Showers falling. Nothing except one nice perch went to breakfast came back and had a good run and fish on i land a beautiful rainbow my target about 18 inches. Took a nice pic let it go to bite again . When I put it in my back pocket it must have deleted the pic ugh again. This has happened to me before that's why I like the cameras better. Had to come home early today side affects from chemo again. It was a great stay at a beautiful high peaks resort can't thank them enough.

I thought you were joking when you said, that you decided to ": Fish from my Room."
Then I scroll down through the Pic's and see the Rods on the Deck, you with a cup of Coffee from D.D's behind you, clearly inside in a nice cozy room  You have style, That's for Damn Sure!!!!
Love it. Still Haven't stopped Laughin'!
If there's a way to catch the fish, wherever you may be.... I am pretty sure. You will know how to find them!! :)

Fishing from a hotel room - I love it ! Great photos as always.

Too bad about the one (photo) that got away, sounds like a nice fish, thats what counts !
I do not exaggerate when I talk about fishing - I underestimate, like I say "just one more cast honey, then I'll come home" !
Keep Calm and... Fish On !

4/29/2021 got up this morning feeling a little better so I said I'll head to the roadside pond in the high peaks. Started fishing at 8:40 am in the deeper water with no runs by 10 am do decided to head down along the road in that very shallow water. Wasn't there 10 minutes a run and fish on i land a nice brookie. Was steady the next hour or so landing 5 more I was 6 for 6 and went home. Some where in between I saw a nice 20 plus brown swimming down the pond. Never stopped for my bait. Kept 3 brookies for dinner.

5/7/2021 headed up to the high peaks today after my 2 day trip to the oswego river. started fishing at 8:00 am with 3 rods with crawlers on the bottom. temperature was 32 degrees with light winds but sunny. had 3 runs landed 2 brookies about 9 inches and decided to scout another pond before heading home. i did and no luck caught 4 bullhead ugh and the black flies sent me home ugh again.
oswego river trip was a dissapoitment but we had fun the weather was terrible . i lost a huge fish which we all thought was a brown, had a walleye swipe at my swimbait and lost a decent fish. it was tough fishing with my moon eye jigs with crawlers as the white perch were in the river spawning and feeding like crazy. loved the spot though stayed at the quality inn right on the river food was great there also.

5/21/2021 headed to a trout pond in the high peaks for some trout shore fishing with my great nephew. Usually no black flies there so we took a chance. Beautiful day but the trout didn't cooperate I lost one and caught a small bullhead 2 other runs noone home. It was beautiful there though.
