4 /6/2021 was supposed to fish vt for bullhead but the wind out of the north was bad so i decided to fish close to home in the lake. went in the morning but was cool and windy . went back in the afternoon and fished for 2 hours landing 5 catfish and 12 bullhead. i had a blast. the cats were hard to get up the ledge with my worms rods but got them and safely released them, i did lose a bigger one as it broke me off trying to get it on the ledge so i could get a pic and release it. hoping to get back there today. the wind is perfect there and the water very murky perfect for bullhead and cats.

Did you save some of the bullhead for dinner? Some say catfish are delicious...maybe depends on what kind. I don't know bc I haven't fished for these species since I was a kid.

I like your determination. If wind is a problem, you just change location :D

4/8/2021 what a, beautiful day on champlain today shore fishing. No wind and sunny. Set up 2 worm rods for shore fishing bullhead and anything else that wants to eat my pieces of crawlers. Landed 3 bullhead which I kept for dinner and lots of yellow perch released them all spawners. Sat in a chair enjoying the wild life surrounding me. Saw 2 eagles 3 ospreys 5 turkeys 2 musk rats sandpipers robins gray squirrels and lots of migrating ducks. Had a good day even caught a small catfish.

5/1/2021 missed the walleye opener this morning because of health issues this afternoon went over to my relatives camp for some anything that bites shore fishing. Fished 1 and half hours landing 14 perch and 8 bass. Fish were aggressive and put up a good fight.

Awesome Matt. Been slow up north here for perch etc but water is still very cold, in the mid 40s. Should turn on soon. Nice report!
