3/22 and 3/23 2021 headed over to the big o for some shore fishing for football browns. never fished over there this early and found out monday that there wasnt many spots for me to fish because of ice ice build up and the lake was 71 inches. so mostly monday we scouted places for me to fish. found one on a wall in the oswego river. tuesday morning headed out to my favorite spot hoping to get out on pier to cast and i did but it was a slow process with the help if my friend i made it safely. 5th cast freight train hit and fish on and a good one now how to i get it to the shore to land it. got it near the pier where i could see it and then headed towards shore or hoping my friend can get over here to net it as he was a ways away. started it but i put to much pressure on it and he resisted and twisted the hooks out. ugh. then about 15 minutes later a freight train hit and no one home. then maybe an hour later as i was pulling the lure out of the water a football brown lunged out of the water and missed my lure. he made my day it was just awsome. ended up 0 for 3 ands had 3 follows. water is very low and very clear makes for tough fishing. heading back over there very soon. 2837.jpg[/attachment]
