7/27/2020 this is alayna (fishy2) i am papa,s grand-daughter I just joined lake champlain united to keep on fishy1,s tradition. this morning i went to to a pond fishing for bass with fishy1. it was very hot and we started fishing at 11 am. it was very windy and i had a hard time casting. had a bobber and a night crawler and i was throwing in the lily pads and was there about 15 minutes when the bob went under and i set the hook and fish on and i land a small bass. then the little sunnies started so papa put on a bigger crawler for bigger bass. 10 minutes later bobber went down and i land a nice bass after a good fight. landed a few more sunnies and we had to go home and to get something to eat and drink. i am 10 years old and love fishing with papa (fishy1)

I thought the name fishy2 sounded familiar.

Great report on your fishing trip. The bobber in the Lily pads is an awesome technique that not enough people do in my opinion. It's often overlooked. Keeps the bait off of the bottom, allows a visual tell when a fish is biting, easier to cast, and I think it gets tangled in the weeds less than a plain crawler. You obviously know what you're doing, and are a great angler.

I do have one piece of advice for you for next time. Next time, bring a lunch so you don't have to go home so early! Have fishy 1 show you some pictures of what reelax and those guys bring along for food when they fish.

Welcome aboard, I look forward to hearing your future reports.

Matt everyone's guess was 5 to 6 lbs including 2 bass pros. Our rapala Digi scales was broke. The pros don't need to worry about catching it fishy2 ate it.
