5/20/2020 headed north with special guest brenda targav18,s wife for some shore casting lessons. got there at 3:45 pm and Left at 630m pm . brenda was 1 for 3 and i was 2 for 5. kept telling brenda always pay attention to your cast hold your rod low and you will score. my ist hit was about 15 feet from me and i saw it crush my lure . brendas catch her lure was almost out of the water when it hit my 2nd catch was around 5 feet from me crushing my lure also and bending my rod down into the water. had a great time brenda is a fast leaner and tried to watch me make my different moves when retrieiving. had fun.

its been a long 8 months glad to be back. i been having countless messages and texts for advise keep them coming i dont mind dont be bashful . now lets go fishing.

yes i am but not for a long period of time i will need to take it slow at ist.

headed north this morning for shore fishing for lakers but had a short window had to find some garden soil for my garden. started fishing at 7:30 am and had a follow right away. about 20 minutes later a short hit and no one home. then awhile later within 10 feet of me have a hit and fish on busting water and it shakes loose. then another hit in close and noone home. eric came down and 2nd cast and he lands a small one. left at 8:45 am for some garden soil but stopped back going home and 2nd cast i land a nice laker made a few more casts and went home.

5/31/2020 latest update i had a stressfull week at the cancer center running multiple scans and a mri. they found my cancer on my spine has gotton worse and the chemo pills arnt working so they will start bone injections this week. and will be more added june 5th. i guess i need to take it easy till then but still going to try and fish. on a bright note when i came home emily and gracie met me at the door to hug me a great inspiration with emily saying papa your never going to leave us again not even to florida. then saturday morning i went to lowes too buy some veggie and flower plants came home and the girls met on the deck all smiles saying papa were going fishing in daddys boat i said great have fun when both gave me hugs and gracie who is 3 years old and emily who is 4 years old look up at me and gracie says papa my ist day as fishy3 and emily says my ist day as fishy4 i was startled. i asked my wife and daughter in law if they told them to say that they said no. wow. now we have a fishy1 family alayna fishy2 gracie fishy3 and emily fishy4 . made my day

Matt, I hope those injections fix you up fast so you can keep right on fishing. I'll be in Westport a lot this season, stop by anytime, second house (red) south of the boat ramp.
