Caught him on a bass plug. Left a small tooth in my hand. It looked just like a small cats claw, from his gill plate. You need to keep the gills pinched shut when handling. He thrashed a little and got me.

Anybody want a nice quiet Florida trip, this the area. No tee shirt shops. Bring or rent some kind of boating device. Shore fishing is not the best. There are places here that only see an angler a few times a year, and, maybe never if you can paddle .

Had a great trip on the Homosossa River today with Captain Duane Tibbets. We caught a bunch of spotted sea trout. Paula out fished me again with a redfish and a snook. Both just shy, snook is closed. Fun trip, manatees, dolphins, eagles and ospreys.

we were out there. Ate at the restaurant at the fork in the road. Good place. Tons of trout, but I guess there is so much pressure, the keepers are getting harder to come by. We're looking at renting for March next year, right in old Homosossa. Look for reds along the coast below Hommassa River according to my guy.
