8/11/2020 headed across the big pond today for some shore fishing set up 1 rod with sinker system for anything that bites. The other rod with a neon moon eye jig hoping for a walleye. Started slow with a few bullhead and sunnies. Started fishing about 8 am around 9 am had a good run on sinker rod kept going and broke me off ugh. Then I caught some more small bullhead and yellow perch.then around 10 am jig rod took off nice and slow I knew what this was a finicky walleye. set the hook and fish on only to unhook on shore . might have been a legal 18 inch don't know for sure. Bootstrap then showed up to do some spin casting for awhile then it was getting hot. I was so happy to get back across the big pond will be back there.time to make up for lost time
