Bass Fishing North 9/7/9/9

Post by rvq »

My buddy Ron came up from N.Y. for three days of fishing. We had nice calm weather for all three days, although Wed. was very wet. We fished Wed. and Fri. for SM and Thurs. for LM. Water was clearer than expected after the rain. By Fri. you could count the zebra mussels on the bottom in10'. Water temps 69-70 all 3 days.
We averaged 40 keepers/day for the 3 days with an average of17.5 lbs for a 5 fish bag. Nothing huge- biggest LM 4.75 and SM 4.25, but many between 3-3.75. Senkos (of course) tubes and drop shot w/ gobies bringing most of SM. SM caught on offshore humps and weeded shoreline with hard bottom in 8-10'. Jig & pig and Senkos caught the LM in water less than 4' and patchy weeds.
