Winooski Saturday

David and I launched from Winooski Saturday around 10.30am. We took the last available parking spot.
So many boats on the water, we had to be vigilant to stay clear of the planers and long lines.
headed North a bit and around Sunset Island, but no takers.
Around 1:30pm headed south to Shelburne Bay to meet with my DYP partner Fishhunteradventure (Mark) but he already left for Converse bay. So here we go, a 15 minute ride to Converse. Chat a bit with Mark at the ramp as he was getting ready to head south to a secret spot and wet lines with friends. We slowly headed back north, with 2 dr and 2 planer boards. Got a nice laker on the left planer, 100' behind, dragging a Purple/Blue Challenger. We replaced one of the dr with a 3 color lead line, wetting our "Dancing Girl (DG)" copper/purple lure with a matching fly that Surprise gratefully made for us at the last taping session.
Bang... within a few minutes, we got a hit.... another nice laker chewing the leg of the DG. Got a few more hits on the DG, and one on a Blue/white Challenger from the downrigger 15' down, 50 behind. We ended up with 8 hits, putting 5 in the box. Poor DG, she's more like a "Naked Girl" now, lost most of her clothing, and badly bent leg. She will need some major surgery.
Got back at the winooski ramp around 6:30 pm, still plenty of boats on the water.
It was a beautiful day on the water.....nice weather, such relaxing time with my son. Loved every minute.
No dr balls lost on this trip.
