Fun day yesterday, congrats to Reelax and Cowboy, big thanks to Griz for taking me out on the brand new boat. We covered a ton a water and tried everything in the boat and ended up with no releases. My only regret is not eating more of those moose meatballs.

What a great time... The bite ended early, but it all works out in the end. Another year with a close 1-2 combo. Deans fish just short by 2 oz.
Thanks to Dean for another great event. Even rain couldn't dampen the spirits. Thanks to Cowboy for the ride. 1st derby I ever fished with no steering. Thank god the wind didn't pick up too much!!! Great food, thanks to guys like Ron and Fred who didn't fish but brought grills and
Cooked burgers, sausages, and dogs for all. Nice teamwork... For those who didn't attend, Dean has LCU stickers available... They are sharp Lookin.

First congratulations to Matt and Rick well deserved win on a difficult day when most went without. The next thank you goes to Dave Adams who not only took me scouting but helped me with the dock and rescued me when both motors failed at the launch coming in. thanks to all the anglers that came out on a crappy day to via for the ultimate prize and made an excellent day of it, and put on an amazing tailgate awards party. By the way....... John Chicoine at County Tire fished Keeler Bay Saturday and they boated over 40 salmon on anything they threw out....same sizes as those placed in the derby. good fun!
