Saturday morning left the cottage at 7:30 am, it is a three minute ride to the rampe in Porte Douglas. I'am all alone, the lake is very calm but there is no more docks so I take my time. I put the boat in the water and by the time I'am done another Canadian arrives, we chat a bit and I go on my way. For the first hour and a half not much goes on. The first hit is a small 18" salmon 63' down in two hundred feet of water. A bit later another hit but this time on the surfice 25' down another salmon 17". As the day went on I manage 8 more salmons and 6 + lake trouts. It was a good day out on the water by 2:30, all of the fish on saturday came between 60' and 67 ' except for one at 25'. The spoons that worked best for me were caught all on the same color which was a waves spoon # 46 / 4'' long, only one fish was caught on the same color but only 2-3/8" long.
Sunday was a different day, not as many fish but a nice day. Approximitly 10 fish in all, 6 salmon, the rest lake trout. The salmon were a bit smaller but a fun day on the water. All the fish came on the same color, the mornig was slow, they all came on the surfice this time as i was changing color to get things going, I dropped the downriger down to 14' as i was setting the other rod. The first rod started to bounce. Thats how the first fish came in the boat an that is how I fished the rest of the day. I had a line set at 25' all morning and no hit, onl goes to see what a difference of a few feet will do in a day off fishing.

Pierre:
Thanks for sharing on the colors ... great combination! You have become an airbrush master.
No front eye and treble hooks ... Just an observation!
The 4" size is also very interesting. Thanks again./Jim
