Launching in Westport, good idea?

Tomorrow, i'll be on the lake. I would like to know if Westport is ok to launch the boat? Don't need dock but is it open?.

Yes, it is open,no dock ,a little bit shallow but I didn't have any trouble with my 19 footer last weekend.

Hi C-Hawk,

Where you would ne launching tomorrow? I'll be coming from Montreal Canada. Can you give me somme advice?

I couldn't even guess the best area to fish, but probably the Vermont side south from Westport would be a good place to start. I am launching at Chimney Point and fishing my way North. Unless you find bait ,the bite has been very slow for me. Spend some time scouting and mark the bait, then keep working it. Fish from 40 up unless you want Lakers which can still be caught on bottom in most depths including very shallow near shore.

Thank you very much. I'll give everybody a feedback tomorrow night. Can wait to fish tomorrow. If you see me, i'm with a red Lund Tyee 1900 with a 150 and a 15 hp.
