Well I was lucky enough to get drawn for the NH Moose hunt but had one of the least successful areas in the state, the South East. Did my scouting and found an area being logged that the Moose had been traveling through. Plan was to hunt the adjacent areas which we did for 5 days with no success. Went home for the night on Wednesday and did some research on Google earth and found a nice looking spot that we had not hunted yet. Started across the top of the cut with no sign but dropped into a hemlock area that looked real Moosey and as I came upon a knoll there she was at 100 yards. Took her with the first shot but let a few more go as she went over the next knoll. Oh did I mention that this is a shotgun only area and the Mossberg did the trick. She weight in at 550lb and I was lucky enough that the loggers brought her out for us and loaded her into the truck.
Looks like we will be eating well on the ice this winter!:D
Thats a lot of meat right there. Nice job! Great way to get her out!
