Salmon at the Fill

Went out this afternoon for a try at Lakers on the Broad Lake.Fished for 2 hrs in my normal spots and marked a few but it might have been a little too rough for a steady laker presentation.No luck at all.Headed back towards Mallet's and set up a lead line.I trolled along the outside of the fill for a while and decided to give it one more pass across the hole in front of the cut and wham ,a beautiful fat 4 lb salmon on a blue needlefish-type lure.Salmon had a small lamprey that let go at the net without hardly leaving a mark.2colors did the trick.Back she went ,no pics.The skunk is off the new motor!Jeff
