great ending to a long day
worked hard to get fish today but once I got em figured out it was game on! was on the water at 445am and off at 1200 for lunch with no silver but 9 monster white perch! back on the water by 2 and had the first fish in the boat at 530pm, I kept marking fish an bait between 75 and 100 feet over 175-220 fow so I dropped a rigger down to 89 feet and about 15 min later the rigger got smashed, I knew by the way it hit and took off it was no lake trout, the fish never surfaced once but he made some incredible reel screamin runs. the fish was 24 inches long and about 5.5 pounds, I didn't waist to much time measuring and weighing cause I wanted to get him back alive which I did after a little cpr. This was a true silver bullet as you can see by the picture and boy was he fast!!!!!!! off the water at 800pm with 5 other fish in the boat all between 19 and 22inches, awesome ending to a very long day but every fishless minuet was worth it to end the day like that!!!! p.s. big fish and 2 others came on a chartreuse speedy 89 down 8back and the other 2 came 84down 6back on a blue/chartreuse/silver speedy I taped myself, sorry no pics its a secret.

Where on the lake were you if you don't mind me asking? I was fishing all day Sat in the inland sea and off Ladd's point with no luck... (hit a bunch of what I guess is silver perch)...
