Wondering what everyone is running for speeds, for Salmon? Some are saying slower speeds are producing, yet a lot of people seem to troll faster !
We seem to stay around 2.1-2.4 mph !

Re: Speeds
Same here I was out yesterday afternoon taking a few guys from work fishing and I was trolling around 2.2-2.4 getting fish. Their was several other boats out and they were trolling circle around us. Picked up 3 salmon and one brown first year trolling and I thought I was going to slow but getting fish so I didn't change a thing.Great night all and all they had a blast one guy got his biggest fish ever 2.5lb salmon and other guy got his biggest brown 4.9lb they both were very happy that is what mattered to me.

Re: Speeds
The lure speed is what matters and what ever makes it swim right will be what I run. Somtimes around split rock you have to vary by 1.5mph North to South to get same lure speed and action...

Re: Speeds
Interesting...I check speed for the lure but I forgot that currents can alter that
Fish don't play politics, that's why I like them...
