This week I was able to get my name for the boat...........How do you like it
?
Finally
Re: Finally
Love it! Our boat names have personal meanings for many different things. Some simple some complex, mine were and are on the simple end of the spectrum. My BITE ME boat I had for 28 years and it meant just that, bite me fish! My Mistress I have had for 8 years and my wife named it that because I spend so much time with my boat.Thank God she loves to fish too!!

Re: Finally
I used to call my Lund "Jump's Islund" for similar reasons. A take off on Gilligan's Island we used to always go for far more than "A two hour tour, a two hour tour...."
And, before cell phones, I always felt it afforded an escape from what goes on on land. A tiny Island retreat, if you will.
But what would Helen of Troy say about our reasons for launching now?

Re: Finally
In that particular dream it was a no contest for Mary Ann
After all, Ginger was seldom even dressed in proper fishing attire.
The vote was unanimous, TU !
And we would even make an exception if she had brought bananas on board.
Thanks a lot pal. You have left me dazzled by the prospect..."Lost in the Sixties Again"
Ha ha ha!
My pal "Bloodthirsty" Bill Rogers from Hemmingford, Quebec had a downrigger with one of those Strike Vision Cameras. He kept the display monitor in a darkened area within the cuddy. Fish would come looming into view outta the murk. We were so captivated, like two kids watching Saturday morning cartoons. Any other rod on the boat had to be up and singing before we ever took notice. I'm pretty sure, you sir need no explanation if the cartoons had been preempted by an episode of Gilligan's island.
Well awright...Maybe not so much (ahem) when I was only ten years old.
It was strictly about the business of fishing back then I tell ya!
Send no reprimand worthy Administrators
TUnamas is the one who put thoughts of fishing second in this hallowed place.
You don't suppose she would go if we asked her, TU?
Another face who launched a thousand ships!
Or at least our mini fleet of two.
The fishing is always better in uncrowded waters anyway.
"...Hold me darlin, hold me tight. Lost in the Sixties tonight....
