Double Wide Transducer "FishHawk" Test

Post by digitroll (ron) »

10 days ago Fishhawk rolled out their new double wide transducer on You Tube and Facebook as a live show. Link below: I had a chance to test the new double wide transducer on December 18th, 2024 up in the Sea. It's pretty amazing the signal went all they out to 200 feet of cable. The old one the signal is good up to 120 ft of cable especially with currents on Lake Ontario. Here is my 30 second video test:

Just installed this in my boat. Good to hear it works as advertised. This is the same probe that’s included with portable set up that you can take from boat to boat with you….. which I have. However, I was a little disappointed that I couldn’t just by the bracket/mount to attach to the transom and just use the probe I have. No big deal I guess , now I have 2 . Hoping to try mine out in a a week or 2

There is no option for a bracket at this time for the X2 owners. The 3D printed bracket that comes built in is easy to mount and has a 10-15 degree angle for optimum performance on the transom.
