Saturday Jan 25th launch conditions

Post by Reelax »

Sounds like both Arnold’s and Converse are still open even though Mother Nature has done her best to close us out.

I’m looking to fish Saturday as far south as possible. Does anyone know if the bridge is still locked up?

A wise old troller once said….

Why fish in a hole when you can get in your boat and TROLL!!

Who else is launching Saturday?!

Doesn’t look good. Here are todays pics from all the launches we wanted to try!

Thanks for the folks who sent these! Better than driving 70 miles to bbq in the parking lot!

Does anyone know an open launch?

Damn global warming!!
Seriously though I am hoping something busts open before the end of February, I would like to continue my monthly salmon count and would hate to be stuck on #22. I think I would even put my Mistress on the ferry to get to the NY side if I heard there was a launchable access on the NY side to get a Feb salmon as it has become that much of a personal challenge!
Buuuut if not it was a good run and such is life!

Burlington Harbor ramp next to the CG station is open and docks are still in. If weather cooperates next weekend 2/8 or 2/9 I plan on launching from there and running over to Willsboro NY first and if nothing happening there down to Converse. Hopefully the penguin plungers don’t have it blocked off Saturday, I should be able to get the scoop on the plunge event and parking on Saturday from my inside connections next week.

That doesn’t look too bad Randy! Little southwest wind gusting to 30 would hammer that. How thick do you think it was?

We were -9 this AM

Those were blocks, but you are right a good south wind and a bar could get the ramp there useable.

Didn't get out today but I'll give it a look tomorrow.

A float would be nice.

Great news Randy. Thanks for the update.

Arnold’s bay would be the preferred launch but with ice headed north from fishville we need warmth and wind to keep it possible!
