Fleas

Post by steve »

Going to try and get out onto the lake next week. I was wondering if I had to switch to thicker fishing lines or the fleas have not arrived yet….
Has anyone had fleas on their lines yet?
Thanks

Was out two days last weekend and fished from south of Basin Harbor to Essex-Charlotte Ferry crossing. No fleas then. But they are probably around the corner.

We haven't seen fleas yet, but there is "cotton" on the water that can be nearly as bead. We scraped several lines on Sunday before they bound up.

Went out tuesday and everything was good , no fleas.
Ran into a few piles of floating weeds which was surprising for this time of the year but I much rather piles of weeds then the fleas,
good luck to everone

Fished from Barber point south to about 2 miles north of Port Henry today. NO fleas yet. Lots of brown water and weeds and some cotton from trees, but NO fleas yet…

Started to see a few Sun around Kingsland but they were thick in Converse. And these are only the Spiny Water Fleas scouting for the nasty Fish Hook Water Fleas.
