OBX Bucketlist

Post by Mistress »

I have long wanted to cruise the beaches and surf fish the Outer Banks of NC and finally made it happen. We drove down and stayed in Nags Head (our wives chose the town, go figure! )
Our timing could have been better coordinated with seasonal fish migrations along the coast but the Sea Trout bite was on fire at the Little Bridge inlet. We caught puppy drums and skate surf fishing with pretty much the same set up I use for stripers in NH/ME and jigs with rubber paddle tails for sea trout. The weather was great and close to 2,000 miles travelled, excellent trip!

Wow Pat. I have caught lots of sea trout all over. But I don’t think I’ve gotten any as big as your pic with one in both hands… looks like a great trip!!

Nice fat sea trouts. They are great eat.
It's always an adventure fishing the surf.
Glad you had a good trip.
