We made our last trip of the year down to Hampton Harbor NH to fish Jeffries Ledge for Cod Haddock and Pollock. We fished aboard the Yellowbird as we have for the past 22 years and Cap Rick did not disappoint despite tough fishing conditions. Monday was a blue bird day but we ENE wind at 20 knots with 6-8’ seas and coming off a full moon ripping tide but he managed to lock the boat down on four different humps and we pounded the fish, the three of us ended up with 81 keepers.
Tuesday was flat calm and we drift fished the flats and were extremely busy reeling with a lot of shorts going back over the rail. Fortunately we were fishing in only 200’ of water (as opposed to 300’) and our arms held up for the most part. Tuesday we had 52 keepers for a trip total of 134, mix of haddock pollock and 6 cod. Needless to say our freezers are full

Re: Fall Freezer Run
Great catches. Sea can be rough at times. Glad your trips were successful.
