Bulwagga bay salmon fishing

Post by Marco »

Half dozen boats fishing the bay this morning, no action?
Lot's of marks just outside launch in 30-50' water, thinking they were lake trout?? Very flat water, not sure what's going on? 37 degrees water.too cold?
I've caught silver here in past years at ice out....
Any insight, is it worth trying here again?
Thanks, hungry for silver steak ☺️

From my personal experience an I'm no pro but, the bay can be hit or miss from day to day, year to year. I've had years where the bay has been great then I've had years where not much action for myself. Hoping to be out on my boat Saturday or Sunday this coming weekend after silver. Don't give up on the bay just yet way to earlier to do that. Tight lines cpmaple

Still shopping for silver, hahaha 🤣, looks like "reelax" had another good day north on VT side ...
But we did have better fun with the Lakers, there were up pretty high in Cole's. Couple were over five pounds, ended up with six Lakers.

Probably to deep, 15-35...
We did see a lot breaking surface early.
But I keep going with the marks on the fish finder.
Next year I'm going to get couple of planner boards.
