Spring like post Christmas forecast December 29 thru January 8th

Post by digitroll (ron) »

The boat has been hibernating for the last week and now we are forecast for 40s and 50's for 10 days beginning Thursday! Takes about 15 minutes to ready the boat for trailering!

It's back on!

The latest update of the next forecast snow event is Jan. 10th. Lots of chances now to get out! Dry roads and clean launch ramps.
11 days beginning tomorrow. Lots of days to fish!

The Country Angler will be out there on Friday. PM me if you don't have my cell number, and would like to exchange them. Waters cold this time of the year.

I am planning on tomorrow and Friday 9 am launch time. No urgency to fish sunrise at 7:30 am with 42F water at Diamond. The fish won't wake up till after 9 am. Planning on several trips next week. I have a big guest list to pick and choose!

Friday will be a great day to install the radio and Sat will be a good day to test it. Try Reelax on ch 68 on Sat and you should get a reply:)

Judging from current wind conditions, I hope Ron didn’t make it out today….

Launched at 10 am and fished till Noon. Met another guy solo who launched at the same time. Fished over in Whalon's out of the wind as it came up hard before 11:00 am and harder at Noon. My son went with me and was trying his new camera for Christmas on the boat. We could only fish till Noon as he had to be back by 1:30 pm. We had triples on LT just before quitting time. I was fishing too deep the first 1 hour 45 minutes with no bites. As soon as I put out the Big Jon Mini discs a triple happened with a rigger free slider. With the sun shining in Whalon's it felt like 60 F and a mill pond the 2 hours!

Surprise was down off Barber point out of Arnolds with another boat unidentified. Chessieman?

Back out tomorrow / Saturday / Monday.

Nice. We are shooting to be at the ramp around 8. Setup will take a little bit. Hopefully fishing by 9. Be on 68.

5 boats at the Converse parking lot this morning a 8 am. Country Angler had a jump on all of us over in Whalon's catching salmon from 7-8 am. Met Dilly Worm and Brimstone Troller all the way from NH. With temps peaking up in the 50's it was an amazing day on the water with sun and nice conditions for the 5 boat fleet! Carol and I ended up with two nice salmon and 7-8 LT today. Fish were caught from 20 ft to 40 ft for us. Larger mini Jon disc was good. Best lure was Fat Buzzy. Today's 1 minute video link summary of this spectacular day! Back out tomorrow at 7 am with a crew to fish till Noon.
