Re: Fishing around Montreal
Can't wait for border to open to allow us fish Champlain. We miss it a lot.
In the meantime we are having fun with walleyes.

Re: Fishing around Montreal
Fished Lac St-Louis solo Friday from 9 am to 6 pm.
A bit choppy on the water mostly in the morning, but calm winds and only a few boats.
I was only jigging in 20-40 fow, but with the current, I ended up travelling over 25 miles on the water.
Landed 16 fish, kept 6 nice walleyes between 15.5' and 17.5".

Re: Fishing around Montreal
Fished Monday with Naniche on the St-Lawrence river around Montreal old port.
What a beautiful day. Calm winds, no waves, very little boat traffic.
9 hours on the water, covering 35 miles on water, only jigging.
Ended the day catching 2 sm bass, 1 large catfish, and 9 walleyes. 3 of them ended in the live well, and 2 released were over 24".

On Lac St-Louis yesterday around 8 am. Very calm day, no wind, and very few boats.... but fish were not active.
We caught 2 keeper walleyes, and a few released bass, but spent a lot of time with no action.
Still it was nice to be on water enjoying relaxing time with a good friend.

On Lac St-Louis Friday with 2 friends. Fished from 1 pm till past 6 pm on a very calm and warm afternoon.
Unfortunately the fish were not cooperative, I only got 8 in the boat, but all were VERY small. On each bite, they were getting smaller......

Back on St-Louis on Saturday from 8 to 3 pm with friend Daniel.
This time the water was a little choppy and fish were more active, ending the day with 22 to the boat and 2 keeper walleyes.
Most all of them caught of jigging rap or jig with worm.

Re: Fishing around Montreal
2 new fishing friends invited us fishing on Tuesday near their home town 2 hours from Montreal.
It was a cold but pleasant day on the water.
4 fishermen, 2 nice boats, plenty of water to play, and fish joined the party... can't ask for more.
We all got our quota of nice walleyes and also caught under specimens that returned to grow bigger.

Re: Fishing around Montreal
Fished with André last Friday on St-Louis.
Bite was almost non existent. Only a few very small biters. Water was a bit choppy and temp was COLD.
Some fishing days are better than others, this one was not.

Re: Fishing around Montreal
On St-Louis today with 2 guests, my son Martin and his friend Antoine who was new at fishing.
What a beautiful day. Warm weather, calm water. At 8 am, the launch was already full. Had to squeeze in narrow space to park.
We got about a dozen bites, Antoine reeled in his first fish, a keeper, and I got a keeper too.
Out of the water around 3:30pm, the parking was still fun, with boats still on trailer waiting for an opening to park.

Re: Fishing around Montreal
We had incredible warm weather this weekend. Saturday no wind, 85 degrees in afternoon. Sunday almost as warm but more windy. This week temps are cooling down to max around 50 next weekend.
