kept at it and picke up first salmon 74 ft down on a silver and chartreuse stinger. Only 16 inches sent him back. Turned around and headed north. Pick up another salmont 14 inches. Back in it went. So i decide to keep trolling back towards where i started on the ny side. All of sudden a hear the reel buzzing. I was sure it was a big lake trout. After a minute 175 fr back a see silver out of water. At that point i new i had a 6 lbs salmon on. Now i m going up wind and fishing with a 3 year old. I n my head i was wondering how i was gona land that fish. After the first jump in goes on a another run and stops at 375 ft on the line counter. 
....So i try turning slowly to go downwind. Well sure enough the hot water got the best of him and by having my son hold the rod i had enought time to net it. When i saw it in the net i realized i had a steelhead. 26 1/2 inch and 8 lbs a special thank you to john (meangreen) for the tips. .

.... Bringing out our kids and having great days on the water are priceless... It’s been a good year for bigger fish down there so keep at em and Congrats on the Beautiful Steelhead!!
