What is an ideal rod/reel combo for a lead core set up? I am not even sure what to buy for lead core colors so some help there would be great.

Posting here as this thread seems to get most of the action. I have not got my boat out of storage as of yet but certainly on my mind....... I bought some Scotty's second hand. They work well except I have trouble with the cover locking down and popping up and that affects the depth counter. Is this...

Rod trees work well and can be an easy solution until you figure them out......

Is that the way they come or did you put the shrink wrap on ? I have always loved those releases but have never seen that wrap...

Prettiest pic here is the boat in that awesome garage...........if I had that, I would still be fishin !

I bought a similar one from Cabela's for less. It certainly doesn't look as sleek or fit as well as yours seems to. I also sometimes forget to put it on. I got it because of all the posts online of windshields blowing out. I will remember to put it on going forward.
