Re: Wallon Bay Gathering of Past Shootout Winners

Wow, you guys caught some really nice fish. March has historically been one of the toughest months for us. Haven't made it out at all yet, but want to. Won't this weekend either looking at the wind. But it looked beautiful out there yesterday, as well as right now. Nice job, and thanks for the report.

Re: March madness on the salmon grounds

Not much action for a period, then we got a strong hit that pulled line. That was a good fish as it snapped line pretty quickly:( You guys picked an awesome morning to go out, fish or no fish. Those are some crazy numbers you put up. I don't know about you guys, but, I always wonder about the ones ...

Re: Converse, or any other launch open??

I was just wondering about redgate yesterday. Funny you posted this picture. However my ramp, (the gravel next to the concrete ramp) looks to be snowed in still. Probably by the time I get out there it will be melted anyway I guess.

Re: Converse, or any other launch open??

I looked at Arnold Saturday, and it wasn't plowed or sanded. Walked down, looked like someone got a little stuck at the bottom trying to get back out.

Glad to hear someone has hit it since then.

That's Joe with the tongs on the grill, right? The water behind him with the sun and lens flash there look pretty awesome. Good work out there guys. Only 1 more trip to Maine for me this winter, then I'll be free to get out there with you guys with the Country Angler.

Re: Pointer Pointer Pointer, Come back

You'll get through this Bill, it's just another rocky road with some challenges along the way. Nothing you can't handle. On the other side of that, is a nice boat ramp, and some smooth water full of fish. We'll all see you out there.

Re: Fish Hawk

I usually never buy anything new, but, I did buy a new x4d a few years ago. One thing I will say about those guys, is they have some pretty awesome support. I had some trouble with my unit, but they made it right. The plastic on my transducer was very brittle, and it broke. Not sure if they had bad ...

Last Troll Before Freezeout?

After consulting with the Vergennes Outdoor Club AKA Vergennes High School Fishing Team Coaching Staff on Saturday night, Liam, James and I decided to head out Sunday morning and give it one last shot before the potential freezeout heading our way Friday and Saturday. Dilly was worried about his dri...

You know, instead of just putting the sand in the box it came in, maybe you should bolt that new KitchenAid to the back of your truck and put it on turbo. Be like a tailgate sander.

He won't plow the ramp with fears he will damage his plow blade. ? Thanks for doing all of that work to the ramp Ron, it looks great. Love the reports too from both you and Randy. I've been taking care of family lately, but I hope to sneak in a trip out there soon. Here's a few tips for any new guy...

Re: 5 Boat Fleet today out of Converse.

Awesome Vintage fishing report Todd, from a time when there was no such thing as the internet. Believe it or not though, I have memories of that piece of the lake from back then as well. I was 7 years old, and only fished occasionally for panfish with worms. My Mom and Dad had just finished their fi...
