The screw works loose after a few miles. Probably due to the rigger being over 20 years old and the screw hole is worn some.Wallyandre (Andre) wrote: ↑Sun Mar 10, 2024 12:43 pm Like he said, just tigh up the screw under the cover

Re: Scotty Downriggers
I have old school Scotties and the covers like to blow Open at highway speeds. I use the line retrieves and wrap them over the covers and lock them down with 2 half hitches. I’ll show you next time I see you at launch. This has worked for 10 years for me… I’ll be launching Wed, just not certain wher...

Looking for a parking spot
Now that I am retired, I may start fishing 2-4 times per week. I prefer to fish between Charlotte and Addison on the lake. I live north of there and each trip cost about $50 in gas. If I could have a place to keep my boat over night closer to fishing areas, it may make fishing easier and use less ga...

Friday Fish Frenzy
Fished outta converse with AveJoe Friday with blue bird skies and 3 foot rollers out of the north till 10am when it calmed down. Water temps were around 37. Water was a perfect stained green and clear with lots of debris in lake especially as you got closer to the boquet… We setup small sticks and a...

Sad that used to be bait for salmon to eat. Now it’s fertilizer!

Re: Round 2
Thanks for the report. Jonesing to get out myself. What was up with the mouth on that salmon? Damage that had been already done but healed? We call them dork fish…. When they were smaller they got hooked and split open the bottom of the mouth. It doesn’t close and the tongue grow thru the hole. It’...

Re: March Madness
Pat, it was great fishing next to you guys again today… Your closing results show how hot the bite was, didn’t take long to run up your salmon numbers. We shoulda stayed longer in the west and our final numbers would have been well over 20…., Thanks for the help this week with the impeller replaceme...

Round 2
Round 2 of Joes last post (Round 1 ) from Sat consisted of Joe, Tunamas and I launching in heavy boat traffic Sunday morning at 7am. When we arrived there were 3 boats setting up! Fathead,Esad, and Homewrecker were already on the lake setting up on the spot! We setup just outside split and slid into...

Re: Round 1
 Wow what a shakedown. Esad has done an amazing job in one season out fitting that boat like a trollers dream. It took me 6 seasons to install all those bells and whistles in Reelax I still haven’t gotten to installing my rocket launcher that is in the box still. Looking forward to round 2 in...

Lavruck brand I think they are. They just have new shrink wrap to ensure you don’t catch the top line in a lower release.striper192001 wrote: ↑Mon Feb 19, 2024 5:58 am Great report Matt ! Are those a new version of releases.......? Plastic clips?
I converted back from Scotty releases last year these are much easier to set…

1st Brown of 2024
Had the pleasure of fishing with AveJoe and Crawfish Saturday out of converse at 1st light. We got 4” of snow Friday evening and night in Fletcher so I left the plow on for good measure incase it was needed. The Bloodline crew had launched just ahead of us. Great to see a sister boat out in winter c...
