Port Henry - 12/22

Fishville is still "land of the Lakers" Don and I launched at 8 and were lines down by 8:30 - it was cool with a slight chop, but warmer than ice fishing weather so we were OK with it. As happened on Sunday it took a few minutes to find the fish, but when we did - YeHaw!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Aga...

Launch Report

Anyone know what the launches at Port Henry and Westport are like? Cleared out?

I plan on fishing tomorrow, called Norm's and he said they had 4" of wet snow - wondering what the ramps are like.

Thx Ed aka Chessieman

Re: Salmon and lakers

Way to go! That's a real calm lake - wish I had been there - those fish look good in the boat, and I bet they'll look even better coming out of the smoker or off the grill

Port Henry - 12/4

I was back at it again yesterday on a solo - and I really wish I'd had Scott or Dave or somebody with me because driving and catching at the same time was a bit challenging for me yesterday in the chop. But the good thing was I was catching. Not as many salmon as last week - 8 only - BUT lotsa laker...

Port Henry - 11/29

Yesterday I was back to Port Henry with Dave and it wasn't a repeat of last Wed. We launched under a heavy overcast and mild southeast wind and were lines down off Presbury Point by 8AM - by 9AM we had a beautiful 4# brown, but that was it. And while that was a good way to start, It wasn't like last...

Port Henry - 11/13

Solo trip yesterday that started in PH - started about 8AM ran up to Fishville - dropped lines in 80 FoW, starting with Rainbow Speedi and Patty's Day CI, worked center to VT, in and out 80-120FoW - not much showing, did one 15" salmon more by mistake than skill. Ran up to SB where Scott and I ...

Westport - 11/9

Scott and I spent today licking our "post-election" wounds fishing - what better way to ease a pain - Launched out of Westport and head to SE corner of NW Bay - not a lot going on - I was figuring out my new Helix 7 and thought my ineptness was the reason we weren't marking or getting bit ...

Re: 2022 FROSTBITE SHOOTOUT CANCELLED

First off, Thx for making the safe decision on the "Shoot-out" - no need to risk life or limb for a fish - I'll be "shooting" Wednesday (I hope). More important, were your comments regarding Matt G and Jim M - 10 years ago when I first joined the forum, I didn't know slide diver ...

Port Henry & more - 10/30

Another beautiful day on the lake - shared the day with my B-day buddy, Don - too bad the fish didn't know it was so nice out! Fishville - Nada, hardly any marks high or low. Dudley was a "dud". Scotch Bonnet - swing and a miss, but lots of fish in 140-160 FoW. Thompson's another swing and...
