Re: Anyone tried Colchester reef?
I can't believe Lakers in the Outer Bay this time of year. Rare in the early spring. Anybody else?

Re: Stolen Cannon Mag 5
Bad stuff. There was a guy on fish 802 bragging about buying one for 25 bucks just last week at a tag sale.

Re: Ideas for salmon around mallets bay?
I can remember counting more than 80 boats, cold water trolling the Outer Bay on LCI weekend, back in the early 2000's.

Hudson River with Captain Will
I just had a great striper trip on the Hudson with our own, Captain Will Nolan. Boated 14 , including a nice cow at 41 inches and around 35 pounds

Re: Trying to barter for fishing time.
You might want to join Fish 802 on FB. We have bass guys here, but 802 has 9,000 members nowadays, and probably you will find more bass guys. A lot on here are cold water guys. By the way, do you know what a bass fisherman is?... Someone who can't catch salmon. Ha ha.

Re: Outer Mallets Bay- Memorial Day Weekend
Yes, all of that and more. Consider launching at Apple Island and fish the Cowbanks, Sand Bar, Eagle Mountain, and St. Albans bay. Especially when the wind is up at Skyland. Mallets can be good, or terrible. No knowing just yet, but if the salmon are there, your timing will be good. Contact me when ...

Getting ready
Look out for the C-Hawk soon. Trying to be legal and I'm all set for the vac in less than 2 weeks. Been killing me after missing fishing until mid June last year. Just changed the wheel bearings and I'm almost ready to be at a ramp near you! Say hi all .

Re: Reels?
I've had good luck with Diawa Sealines and Accudepths. The Sealines are really nice reels for the price. No linecounter issues. I don't fish as much as others, though. The Cabela's reels are not what they used to be. I have 1 that is 5-6yrs old and it is junk. The linecounter never really worked ri...
Re: Reels?
2seasons ? I have some cabela's 20 and 30's that sit in the sun , wind and rain, in the boat, from May to October that are 15 years old! Never done a thing to them. Fish 250 hours a year, and the combo when they have them , are less than $70. Also have a 25 year old Diawa Gret Lakes Special that I s...

Re: Coast Guard Kill Switch Enforcement
Think enforcement is only going to be on boats made with them. Mine has it with new controlls, but if your boat doesn't have it , I believe you don't have to worry.
