Re: Apple island state launch
Go-go gas on Susie Wilson Rd in Essex Jct is the closest one I know of. I don't believe there are any non-ethanol stations in the islands, which makes no sense to me! I usually go to the Maverick station on Route 15 in Essex Center. Edit ... I stand corrected! Thanks to your link in the General sect...

Re: Apple island state launch
Wow, that's strange that it hasn't set up a thermocline yet. I thought the inland sea flipped a few weeks ago. With the south wind forecasted for this afternoon, that's probably still the best place for us. Our little boat doesn't like whitecaps!
Thanks for the info and good luck to you, too!

Re: Apple island state launch
Any luck fishing out of Apple Island, Reelax? I'm thinking about putting in there tonight and washing some spoons.

Re: Crappie - Keelers bay + savage island
I know this spring they were hammering the crappie pretty good in Keeler's where it touches Rt 2 (there is a culvert going under the road there). There were people parked there every day for 2 months. I'm not sure where the crappie would be now, though. My son and I fished Keeler's last night and ca...

Re: East End Places to Stay??
Stayed at Feeder Creek Lodge this spring for a brown trout fishing trip. Nice place and nice people. The gentleman that owns it is a charter captain and didn't mind sharing info on the fishing. No pool, but it is reasonably priced. There is a cabin that you can have to yourself, or a lodge with 6 be...

Yup ... a 10' beam would really spread those riggers out for you!! This is my first year running riggers. I'm learning a lot each time out, and the tips from this site are priceless.cpmaple wrote: Bigger boat Time for the 22footer to go.

Re: Possible To still catch spawning Bass
Not sure if they are still on beds or not, but did catch a 3.5# smallie in ~4' of water last week. Possible it could have been on a bed, but couldn't see a foot into the water so no way of knowing for sure! The rivers are really dumping a lot of mud into the lake right now.

Thanks for the tips, dreamcatcher. I like that stretch from the ferry to Providence, but the weather has to be just right to get out there since my boat isn't very big!

Re: Salmon size...
Those are some fat, healthy looking salmon, Dreamcatcher! Nice going. We usually fish the north end of the lake, but it looks like we should plan an outing down that way sometime soon!
