As long as there's 2-3 feet of open water from the shore the trucks are able to stock fish in. Fish are also stocked across the ferries. Not b...

I know of 2 guys that have them. Light! They also keep a trail cam in them that sends a pic to their cell phones when there's any activity around them. Piece of mind for their investment.

If it all checks out it would be a new VT state record. Need official weight and a biologist to look it over.

Alewives are able to tolerate a warmer temp than the thermocline. Fish go out of it, feed, and back down.

Re: Brown Trout
By your first comments it sounded like the state switched to only stocking Willoughby fish. I was merely stating facts. Right Ventral clips are Willoughby (Magog strain), and Left ventral clips are chambers creek strain. I agree there is room for improvement all around.

Just by chance do you recall any of the clips from the fish you caught? Each type of steelhead gets a different clip.

Re: Brown Trout
Fish get stocked off two of the ferrys. Grand isle and charlotte. Both steelies and salmon. The hatchery still raises both types of steelhead. The chambers creek strain and Magogs. Both types get stocked into lewis. Before ranting do your homework.

Re: LCI Advice Needed
There are 2 launches at Larrabee. The south launch is steeper, and as long as nobody is parked in the way of the turnaround (which there will be) its better for a bigger boat. As long as you are capable of backing in a boat in tight places you will be fine. The north launch is easier to back into an...
