Anyway, hit port douglas yesterday with a work friend from Plattsburgh, the result of 7 hours fishing was 2 releases, 1 smallie and 1 lake trout. My friend had mono and I had brai...

Re: Port douglas may 6 shakedown
Thanks Gerry, ha ha ha.
I know, last year was a bummer for me. one laker in 8 outings. This year so far 1 laker in 3 outings. No salmon.
I guess I have not spoken to the salmon gods....

where can i fish some walleye?
Hi every one,
I would not mind trying to catch some walleye in lake Champlain.
Any tips on good locations to start?
Thanks
Robert

Fishing partner cancelled at 5 in the morning so ended up going solo. Started off around 7:30 out of the bay. Battled the waves (1-2 footers) and the wind. 2 other boats also fishing the shallows. Decided to head down to Wilsboro and caught 1 laker on the way down (15 ft down on the cheater). fished...

A new fishing buddy I met last year just bought himself a 19 & 1/2 ft boat so he wanted to try it out for the first time. Its not a new boat, but the dealer said it was all verified and everything worked. We arrived around 6:30 and set up the canvas and hit the water by 7:15. Lake was mirror lik...

For Salmon I would try around 2.5 mph. Lakers hit at this speed too. Try trolling different lake depths. Salmon and lakers appear to hit lures from 25 ft down to surface. Look for birds feeding in flocks on the water. Seems to be the way to go these days.

Blood bath. I would be nice if the silvers in LC would be as big. Good luck to all for fall fishing.

Port Douglas - Sept 18.
Nada- Arrived around 8:30 off at 12:30. Set up in 136 ft of water, 65 down with cheater. 2 releases in first 45 minutes, nothing after. Marked a lot of fish and bait. South winds, full moon. Not the best time. Better than working.
