Re: Inland Sea 5/16-5/18
This is off topic guys but I’m looking for a particular set of cowbell flasher. Do any of you use cowbells, The ones that run vertically just above the downrigger weight? I use the inline ones on my rod and the drag is awful when you hook up. Thanks Hard to find with small petals to ensure low Blow...

Re: Rotary classic
Weather looks better for 3 consecutive days than I have seen for a derby in a LONG time. This should be a blast!!!

Re: May 26
Thanks for the report Gerry. I suspect we will have a challenging bite till we get a good thermocline setup to push them into a constricted depth… it will be a long troll during the rotary derby if this keeps up…

Re: Westport 5/26
Sounds Like some promising results. Should be great intel for the Rotary… Thanks for NOT posting exact locations. 😂 IMHO the that fish shows how resilient they can be. Bet that mouth was broken when it was a young trout and it is still in the hunt… when they are young the mouths are more soft and ca...

Re: Inland Sea 5/16-5/18
We were in the Sea yesterday finding cold water with rare fish. We did find warmer water over by Eagle Mtn down to the state park. Caught our only fish from the Sea in the corner. We did duck through the hole into Malletts bay to find 67F water and thermocline at 31'. We only spent the last hour of...

Re: Rotary classic
hey Chad. team “Reelax” will be camping in Charlotte from Thursday nite (gear prep session) to Sunday to focus on water time, not trailer time:) I’ve got previous DYP partners Joe and Jon on board. These are 2 of the most hardcore, long trolling fishing partners who I have ever met. They can do a 12...

Fishing Karma at its best right there! I have always known some of the best relationships in my life are from fishing. This story is a good example of that! As much as you love hockey Ron, these must be special gifts you can pull out at bbqs and spark the story as a conversation piece for years to c...

Re: Truck broken into today at Converse
They won’t be hitting converse between 5 and 6 am on a day I launch! It takes me so long to setup on the lot that I can run recon for atleast a half hr. I can’t believe they had the gonads to hit converse at 5am. There is only one way outta that lot:) They wouldn’t get away….
Great info to share Ron…

Re: Fish Hawk Lithium Ultra Probe battery life study completed:
I get about 125hrs from Duracells in my clear x4d probe. Either way it’s plenty of fishing time without refresh. The probes don’t use much wattage that is for sure!

Re: Outter bay warm water cold water mixed bag
Great read Matt, That looked like a great day for sure. I will second about the Lakers I don't care for catching slim d arts but lately its been fun with the kids. This pass Sunday we put 10 Lakers ,1 salmon, lost 4 other fish in a little over 4hrs of trolling. All on spoons from riggers, mini dips...

Outter bay warm water cold water mixed bag
When the Wolverine comes to stay at the house from Vernon for 2 days for the DYP, what do you do on Sunday after the big win?!?!! Go fishing a mixed back of heavy pullin action! We hit mallets bay at 1st light and hung a plethora of deep diving plugs, spoons, broken back divers, and the kitchen sink...

2024 DYP derby results. (13th annual)
Well the fleet was welcomed by calm seas and warm air for this years DYP. Slowmbite for most all struggling to get to double didgets across the fleet. A quick run to wesport provided the action needed to land the biggest fish by 9am. Congrats to Mat Gilbert VT2U for his 3.05lb 20” salmon that was en...
