Re: Frostbite Shootout 2022

Hi folks, longtime no see for most of you guys. Sorry not to make it again this year. I just don't have it in me like I used to. Plus we are selling a house from my Mother in law's estate. Really busy with that. I just want to wish everyone the best of luck, and want everyone know that this always w...

Re: Boat Fishing Etiquette

I have had it the other way with jiggers setting up a couple hundred yards in front of me and my obvious route. If your heading at the high point of a hump, they know damn well where you are going. Why can't they let you pass and then move in? I don't really care, but don't get mad at me for not doin...

Re: Tommy Dubrow / Mike Morin / Jeff Light / Lucas Sweeny: LCI Salmon top ten

Had a tough derby with the wind, but was able to get into the sea. Caught a couple eating size salmon on Saturday before being blown off . Sunday stayed in Mallets without a bite. Monday on the Broad Lake was nice enough, but couldn't find any decent Lakers up in the Islands. Noth wind a surface tem...

Re: Fishing community looses another Legend

I had real fun go around with Jim about five years ago. I had good luck that summer with the rainbow trout speedy shiner. He somehow got my number and insisted it was the weight, not the pattern. Well, I had the nicest back and forths with him, a little business like, but I tried his experiments. To...

Look out for the C-Hawk

Hi folks, just want everyone to know that I got the boat out today and will be ready to go in a week or so. Been having health issues still, but I'm getting there. Can't wait to show up the fleet!

Re: Port Richie inshore slams and more

It was very good. I have two different friends that live there. Next year we should hook up on a trip. I'm in. I got a guy In Homossa that's great too ! Also thinking on a month there, then two weeks in the Keys.

Re: Angler Concerns for Champlain Management Team Meeting

If you look at all the other large New England lakes, the salmon are suffering there too. The only thing we have in common with Winnipesaukee and Sebago, is the huge number of Lake Trout. I'm no biologist, but it is easy to compare. Sebago offers huge or no limits on Lakers. If Lakers aren't actuall...

Re: Angler Concerns for Champlain Management Team Meeting

I don't think there should be any bigger concern that should be looked at than the lack of decent salmon fishing, especially in the Northern part of the Lake. There is a reason for it, and I think everyone is burying their collective heads in the sand on this one. I'm starting to fear that the abund...

Sad day for the forum

It is definitely a sad day for the loss of our great buddy Matt. I never would have known Matt if it wasn't for this forum. I may have not kept interested in this forum if it wasn't for Matt Glebus. It all started in or around 2012, when I joined, and started an argument with a guy calling himself f...

Re: Frostbite Derby

Thanks everyone for the kind words. Great job once again Randy, and Congratulations to our new Admirals. Always fine video editing by Ron too. Certainly the best derby all year, a special one for just us. I'll be back. I'm trying to finish up some loose ends at work so I can use that energy to do so...
