I am wanting to try jigging for lakers, does anyone have any recommendations on jigs to use?

Some buddies and I are looking at trying our hand at trolling Champlain this spring. Would be coming from northern NH. What would be the best place to launch? We have downriggers and lead core, not looking for the secret spots but any tips on where to start would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in ad...
