Re: Truck broken into today at Converse

Ron,
I reached out to Dylan with F&W to see if they have cameras in the area and if so perhaps save anything from today that may be helpful. I will PM you his answer

Re: Truck broken into today at Converse

WOW Ron that bites!!! Fishing accesses are almost sacred grounds and the thought that some scumbag had balls enough to mess with a sportsman’s vehicle is disturbing to say the least. Unfortunately in this day and age unless a thug rapes a judge’s wife nothing will come of it even if they are caught....

Re: Niagara Bar trip 2024

Sounds like an epic trip Ron and your tech edge paid off in spades! I am headed over in July (Oswego) to continue my quest to learn the King fishery, young Sully tagging along with his boat. As I said in previous posts I’ve only brought my boat over once before and we caught some in spite of ourselv...

Re: 2024 DYP derby results. (13th annual)

Follow up to yesterday’s DYP post…. My buddy Jim performed a forensic autopsy on the salmon we caught yesterday outside of Converse (on the VT side) and one of the 17” salmon’s stomach was CHUCKED FULL of mayflies which explains why we had 2 hits 20’ off the stern while setting lines out. I would su...

Re: 2024 DYP derby results. (13th annual)

It was yet another great day on the water and good to see so many out on the troll and back at the access for the barbecue. I did not enter the DYP because my schedule is an ever moving target this time of year given my line of work, but we made it out. We launched at 5:30 and the bite was slow for ...

Re: Lake Champlain fishing app now available for Salmon and Lake Trout

I tried as well, not user friendly for 57 yr old males so I too deleted it.......
And asked my first mate to install the app in her phone and track our fishing trips 8-)

Inland Sea 5/11

I decided to fish the Inland Sea yesterday to see why there have been no reports for that area lately and I can confirm the reason being is there is nothing to report on!😂

Re: Shakedown run with the C-Hawk

I swear you could have been telling a story about someone you saw at the ramp some years ago (ME  )!! As we know the worst day fishing is always better than the best day at work! The way I look at it is when I have a mediocre day with the bite it makes it that much better when you crush 'em. Th...

Re: 5/4 Fishfest

Great reports as always! Looks like you guys had a great couple of days and caught some decent size fish and lost the BIG one. We’ve all been there!! Hoping to get out this week one afternoon if time allows and fish the west side. Will post if anything worth reporting. Side note the walleye bite was...

Re: FlatCalm Friday out of Converse

Looks like you had an excellent day Matt! We fished Keelers and Eagle Mtn Saturday from 7:15-10:30 and the bite was off by all accounts (or at least the 3 boats I talked to). Ended up going back to the launch and changing out my trailer bunks I had built and have been sitting in my garage since Janu...

Maquam shore, the Missisquoi River for an occasional Muskie and The Gut can produce some decent northerns.

Re: Eclipse Salmon

The eclipse was definitely a once in a lifetime for most and to be able to fish through it made it even more special. I had hopes it might have triggered some sort of hot bite which it did, just not what I wanted, MOSQUITOES!!🤣 To happen to have been out in front of your fireworks was a bonus and he...

Eclipse Salmon

I took part of the day off to take my wife and Mistress out on Champlain to catch a few salmon and check out the eclipse. My lady being a fair weather mate we launched a little before 10 when it warmed up a bit which was fine by me because it meant I had my I.T. person aboard who doubles as my good ...

Re: Fish Hawk Show New product release last night!

Holy crap, Crazy Yankee must have a 120 amp alternator AND solar panels to run all those electronics! If someone invented a device that told me WHEN the fish are biting I’d buy in and even go to tech.school to learn how to use it if necessary!

Re: Fish Hawk Show New product release last night!

You definitely have some cool gadgets aboard Digitroll Ron! Interesting they use lithium batteries in submersible probes, we all know what happens when lithium is mixed with water, I guess if you see a geyser behind your boat you’ll know what happened!
