Re: Salmon and lakers
Thanks for the report. You guys look like you were stylin'! Congrats on a successful day. I'm starting to think that this might be a positive side to climate change. (Not so much for the ice fisherman.)

Re: Beautiful LandLocked at my driveway!
Thanks for the trip. Good to visit with you Matt and Scott. The eagle was a real highlight! It's been a tough season, but got to see a nice silver.

Re: Where has everyone gone?
I agree with Tom about the catch rate. From what I hear from charter captains there are more fisherman on the lake, not fewer.
I sure do wish we could all stick to the topic of fishing, rather than armchair political "analysis".

Re: Middlebury RV DAVID FOLGER News
I got that. Middlebury College is a private institution. Why should they be responsible for funding research on Lake Champlain? I guess everyone needs something to complain about.

Why is it Middlebury's responsibility to research Champlain? Did I miss something?

Re: Reelax 2022 shakedown report
It was a pretty successful shakedown IMO. Great weather, good food, good company. Glad we got the stink off the boat. Thanks for the invite!

Re: January 1st annual fishing trip to open the year
Looks like good food and good times! Those shrimp look awful good. Why isn't the Old Bay in the pic? Wishing I had gone out again yesterday, as the weather forecast doesn't look promising. I agree on the cisco ID. A whitefish's mouth points down. Another great report Matt. Fish on.

First Solo Frostbite Trip
After my eventful trip on the Reelax on Monday, I looked at the forecast and got my little open boat ready for a frostbite trip. Launched out of Arnold Bay around 8:00. Set lines near Barber Point, or tried to. Set one line at 50 with a sliding cheater and before I can set my second rigger the rod f...

Re: Gotta love a personal best salmon in December
Thanks for the invite Matt. Beauty of day. Had a great time swapping stories and learning more about the lake, frostbite fishing and the fish catching attributes of a grill. Dave kept the program "between the ditches" and that PB salmon was just icing on the cake! Great to meet you both an...

Re: Snowy Thursday Converse scouting trip
Sounds/looks like a great trip Matt! I keep contemplating going out, but without canvas I'm a bit hesitant. I wish I was set up as well as you are, since I have lots of time off and a freezer full of venison. Tight lines and Happy Holidays.

Re: Looking for a seat
Thanks for asking EJ. I ended up buying a 16' Sylvan Sea Monster. I took it out a few times around Town Farm Bay while the water was still warm and caught 1 laker, 1 good smallmouth and some white and yellow perch. Been busy getting ready for winter and doing some deer hunting. I'm not sure when/if ...

Re: Treble vs Single hooks for salmon
I was given a bunch of Stinger and Speedy Shiner spoons. All of them came with trebles. My question is what single hook would you recommend as replacements?
