Re: Heading Up this Week
HI,
I keep hearing about Fishville. Where is that? From what I gather it is south of Westport, NY side.
Thanks, good luck.

Re: Champ Sighting! (That Wasn't)
Saw a dead black squirl floating around north shore Westport about 3 weeks ago. A few eagles in that area too.

Deep thermocline
Fished Westport north and south with little luck. 2 small salmon and 5 or 6 white perch. Thermocline at about 100ft. No fish hawk today, but it was very evident on graph. Like everyone else waiting for cold water on top. What are the regulations for white perch, minimum size and number you can keep?...

Double silver
Was fishing with a friend wednesday. Down rigger at 60 ft with a cheater. Identical lures made by friend the day before we went out. He got a good hit and hauled in 2 silvers, one on the cheater and one on the main lure. One keeper and one short. Kind of rare isnt it?

I think most are feeling this way. Lakers are there but the silver bullet has left the chamber for the most part.

OMG ITS GONE
Was letting out line and put it in release. Started to drop my ball with my fish hawk on it. It went about 3 feet and noticed slack in my rigger wire and before i could do anything rigger wire was cut out near my last roller on my big john electric rigger. EVERYTHING on the end of wire took off the ...

Where da go.
:?: :?: :?: :?: Two of us fished most of day. Put in at Port Henry. Trolled north to Westport bay, crossed to vt and headed south. About halfway back to bridge pulled lines and went directly to bridge. Fished around there for 1 hr. Had one hit all day and landed a 19 inch salmon near bridge. 12 ft d...

Releases when using 40 lb mono for spiders
I use blacks releases, but with 40 lb mono (for fleas) they dont release very well even when i set them for 3 lb release pressure. Probably line stretch I guess and blow back. If i run 2 to 2.5 mph at ball 70 ft down with 10 lb ball i usually have to bring ball up and release by hand the reel lure i...

Fish Hawk x2
Thinking of buying one Can anyone tell me how a x2 is deployed. I understand the basics. Lets say we re at the point where we are going to lower ball and probe down. This what I assume one would do: Bring boat up to speed. Start to lower ball and probe watching temp indication. When desired temp is ...
