Ticonderoga 06/04/15

Started out from the Ti ramp this morning at 0630. Air temperature was 47 and the water temperature was down to 61. Overcast sky's eventually gave way to blue bird conditions. Breeze was forecasted to be 5 MPH out of the E/SE! Uh-huh! Steady 12-15 from the due south. Started south of the Fort and ev...

Ticonderoga----May 26, 2015

Launched out of Ticonderoga this morning at about 0730. Found the water to be more off color than I anticipated and caused me a bit of a delay while I re-rigged some baits to compensate. Water temperature at the ramp was 64 with an air temp of 70. Slight breeze out of the south and conditions were p...

Ticonderoga Bass Report

As is normally the case, "you should have been here yesterday!" was the theme for the day. Made the first trip north to Ticonderoga on Saturday. We put the boat in at around 0730. Water was in very nice condition when we left the ramp. Low to mid 60 water temps with a slight S/SE breeze. W...

Ti 05/03/13

Made the first journey north today to Ticonderoga with my father. Arrived at the launch right around 7:30. There were maybe a dozen rigs in the parking lot. No docks in when we arrived but they had been put in by the time we came back in at 2:30 PM. Weather was 52 degrees and bright blue sky's at sh...

Re: A visit to my favorite basshole

Sorry if you miss this before you reach Ti and Champlain. I suggest you find the milfoil beds that are sitting in 5 to 8 feet of water. Some fish are shallower but for the most part your going to find the better fish in this range based upon what I have seen the past month. Yes the water is low, and...

Re: Still on the big smallies

Very nice smallmouth. I agree as well that the fish are moving out deeper due to the water levels being down.

Re: Ticonderoga June 25, 2012

I saw a Chevy wrapped boat all the way up in St Albans Bay on Monday. Could they really travel that far? Great report and great pics...thanks for sharing. Zach is loving it...great smile! They could travel that far, yes. But not likely. There are several members of the "Chevy" team. The g...

Much lower than I anticipated. But, that being said, I guess it's better than where we were last year at this same time!

Ticonderoga June 25, 2012

Back to "ol' faithful today". What else can be said. Just a phenomenal area to fish. Hit the launch this morning with my son around 6:30. Morning began overcast, temperature around 60, light wind from the northeast that changed later in the day from the west/southwest. Water temps ran anyw...

Managed to make it back to Ti for the second time this year. This time I had my father with me. Arrived at the launch at 7:00 AM and hit the water running. Not to get too much into my spots, we targeted hard, rocky, gravel bays. Water temps began the day at 68 and climbed to 72 by day's end at 2:30 ...
