Re: frostbite shore fishing for lakers updated 10/31/2017
Hi Guys, I had the chance to buy the tails and make 2 tube flies. I made something that i could re-use on bass or pike. I think I should try it on the lakers, just need some time to fish now ! Let me know if you like them. http://pic20.picturetrail.com/VOL166/6017408/16532785/413669359.jpg http://pi...

Re: frostbite shore fishing for lakers updated 10/31/2017
Hi Matt, So, yes, I got super lucky on Salmon River. High flows were good to my friends and me. We were able to benefit from unfished waters due to high flows and we did pretty good. All fish were taken on blue egg sacks. Fish were pretty close to shore so it was fun. They were impossible to land du...

Hey guys, Good to see you all. I tie my own flies as well and I like the ones you got. Do they have a name ? If not, let's call it RED Devil tail  Red material for the throat, is it a red artic fox with another red feather or just fox ? I think I ll make a tube fly version of this fly and h...

Re: frostbite shore fishing for lakers updated 10/29/2016
Hi Matt, Thanks for waiting for me. I had some emergencies in the house department. Family comes first, fishing second ! I wish I could have fished with you. I met up with my friends and had a very good day. They got into 3 fish. One was pushing 10 lbs and two others were in good 6 lbs range. All ca...

You are one step closer to the dark side. You should really get into the fly fishing. I can make you your first salmon fly that will catch , even under a bobber
I LL make it for you and next time we meet on the water I will hand it over to you !
See u soon

Hi guys
Fair amout of fish has entered the river. The best times are mornings so far. Once the sun gets up there's no need to stick around. Water is still warmish at 60F.
I was fortunate enough to hook into this male with a mickey finn streamer. So far, fly fishing seems to catch more fish.

Re: Side Scanning sonar
Side imaging works best on a 10 inch screen. 7 inch is just a teaser. Do not get this on anything less than 7 inches. Heres a link for a tutorial on a hummingbird 10 inch **** WARNING **** This video will make you buy one !!!! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oa1-igWNC6c Here's a fish, another fish, ...

Re: fishing for salmon and browns near home on shore
When targeting fish that I don't want to lose, I always tie uni knot to any of my connections.
That knot works the best also for fluorocarbon.
Any others use this knot? I make 5 passes under the loop all the time and on heavier mono I do 4.
Thanks
