Fished around Sister Islands this afternoon...Fleas unmanageable. Prolly will hang it up for a while.

Out this morning for the first time in about a week...Planer boards for a while and caught several small smallies on Rebel fast tracs (none of any size). Picked up and headed to south of Valcour to jig lakers...no luck as it's something i don't usually do. Decided to troll for a while...Bare speedie...

Mopar...Drop shotting for Smallies, yes, but I was fishing in from 75 to 140 ft of water. The bass were obviously suspended in the 30 ft range. I take it you weren't drop shotting in water that deep.

Saturday 8/26 Trolling in the area of Cumberland Head and points north Downriggers down at the 54-55% temperature break for Salmon, Browns, et al. Was only able to get a couple small Lakers at that depth, no targeted species. However, on sliders, could not believe catching several 2-4 lb smallies. D...

Nope...they were ciscos for sure...caught 2 more today...2 more smallies and a couple shaker salmon. Can't complain. What a beautiful day out there today!

After looking at pic I see the bottom of the mouth goes beyond the top...That says they were ciscos...

Pretty sure they are whitefish and not ciscos...i'll try to post a pic

A really interesting day off Cumberland head...running 2 riggers with a slider on 1 side. Mostly fishing in 125 to 160 fow. The tally goes like this. I caught a whitefish friday on a slider with the ball down 60, over 250' of water...south of Valcour on Friday also. maybe 15" or so. Hadn't caught 1 in a couple years. No other action though.
