Ah! But my wife bought me a new Vexilar for Xmas. Maybe they want us out of the house?

Matt, I didn't notice that the 1754 is a modified V hull? Much better than a flat bottom Jon boat. Still a lot of money for a fair weather boat but might be great for your needs.

Re: Look at Tracker Grizzly/Low Roughneck boats in person?
Matt, We used to call Jon boats "coffin boats"? They are so limited and dangerous when high winds hit even the IS. Once you cut a head on wave over the bow they just slide under the water. If you seriously think about investing in a new Tracker I would consider something with a little more...

Re: Look at Tracker Grizzly/Low Roughneck boats in person?
Matt, Let me ask again? Where will you be launching and how much of the big lake do you hope to fish?

Re: Dodgers and Flashers and other Attactors
Gray Ghost, I've always used the Dave Davis Lake trolls but I didn't know where to look for replacements? They are all I've ever needed when attached directly to the downrigger ball!

Re: Dodgers and Flashers and other Attactors
If you mean AJ's , in Meredith he has provided me with some of my flashers and lead core setups.
Winnipesaukee guides and fishermen utilize variety of flashers directly off the ball.

Re: Dodgers and Flashers and other Attactors
What can I say?? I much prefer all of those dodge/flashers directly off the ball with the lure release set
a couple of feet above them. It works and I've taken hundreds of salmon that way. Its down easy and stows quick at the end of the day.

Re: Perch
South side of Kellogg Island has always been a great place to jig for perch but they have always been much smaller than the St. Albans Bay perch?? Any chance that they might have matured into bigger perch?

Re: Dodgers and Flashers and other Attactors
Keep it simple!! Silver, brass or gold attractors (long is better). Attach directly to the ball with release 2 ft. up the cable. Run spoons 15 to 20 feet behind the release. I use my old Dave Davis spinners (3 ft of different sizes blades). Mylar blades are available in a baffling variety of finishe...

Re: Advice for Salmon Fishing in the North East portion of the lake
This time of the year I would troll the top 30 feet of water in water 60 to 80 feet of water, either side of the deep water trough between Savage and the Georgia Shore. Don't waste a lot of time if you don't mark fish above 30 ft. or chase fish that you mark down below 40 feet. Fish spoons in purple...
