If something isn't done about the farming practices along the Otter Creek and Dead Creek watershed the mouth is going to be silted in just like some of the other rivers..... Plowing/Planting into ditches, loss of pasture land to row crops and removal of buffers along shorelines is loading the rivers...

What a great weekend at the Otter Creek Basin in vergennes... Some very nice fish were caught, approx. 300 kids fished real hard throughout the weekend and the event was a huge success!! I commented via one of these forums if dredging this area would be part of the new launch upgrade. It sure would be nice to be able to access that part of the lake without fear of running aground.
