Re: Boat leaking?
I just went on the boat to troubleshoot. I removed the plastic plates that separate my in floor rod holders from the bottom of my boat. I think the drain hose from my front livewell got disconnected. Not sure how. Maybe a mouse chewed threw it or something. Anyway- I ran out of daylight but I am goi...

Boat leaking?
Hi everyone- I rarely post on this forum but really enjoy reading all the posts and have learned a lot! I own a Starcraft Superfisherman 180. It’s a 2007. My first time out this year I had a serious leak (thank God for bilge pumps!). I figured out it was a crack in the livewell drain tube as I put a...

Re: Smallies in deep water
I fished Inland Sea Saturday from 11-2, marked a ton of fish down 50-60 ft over 90-100 fow. Was solo so 2 riggers with fixed cheaters. No hits no runs no errors. Tuff sleddin. Off to the Big - O this weekend. A new season begins! Riddler Curious-in the Inland Sea, did you hang up on alot of weeds? ...

Lowrance Chirp not reading depth
Hi everyone-just wondering if any of you that own a Lowrance CHIRP have had problems with it not reading depths from time to time? I had SABA install the unit to make sure I didn't screw it up. But from time to time, the depth will just blink 0.0. It seems to happen more in shallow water which i tho...

Kicker motor
Hi everyone. I have a 115 Mercury 4 stroke on a 19 ft Starcraft. I use a drift sock for trolling. I am thinking about getting a kicker motor. No idea where to even start. Thinking a 9.9 hp... Looking for opinions, pros/cons, what to get, etc. is it worth it in the long run? How much should I expect ...

Re: Downrigger wiring
So where did you put the box? You said you put the DR receptacles right at the box? Does that it is in the middle somewhere where each DR will reach? Sorry- really struggling figuring all this out!

Downrigger wiring
Hi everyone-does anyone have any experience running electric downriggers to the battery on a Superfisherman. I am having a hard tim figuring out the best option. The battery is in the flooring, not in the back where it would be easier. Any experiences would be appreciated!

Leak at the live well intake
Hi guys-I purchased a new to me 2008 Starcraft Superfisherman. The Hull in like new, and everything is in excellent condition. On my first trip out, I noticed I had to run the bilge alot in a two hour run. There seemed to be water coming in. I had no idea where. Last night, I found out. I docked the...

Re: Electric Downriggers on a Starcraft Superfisherman
Thanks Gerry-running the wire is going to be interesting. Honestly, I just bought the boat Wednesday and haven't really had time to figure out exactly how I am going to do it. I know where I am going to mount the plug ins, but haven't figured out how I am going to run the wire from there to the batt...

Electric Downriggers on a Starcraft Superfisherman
Hi everyone-I just purchased a 2008 Starcraft Superfisherman 180. There are three batteries on the boat: the cranking battery to a 115 Merc 4 stroke, and then two batteries connected in series. These are in a compartment in the middle of the floor of the boat (not in the back!) and there is a 10 amp...

Bert's Tracks
Hi everyone- I am purchasing a Starcraft Superfisherman that has Bert's Tracks factory installed . I am not very familiar with these. I have a couple questions: Will I need to buy new Berts or Traxtech downrigger mounts? Or can I put my Scotty Mounts on the track itself? Also-are these mounts univer...

Re: Nice weather for the week end!
Fished Whalons Bay and around Split Rock with a buddy yesterday. Man did we get tossed around in my 16' Alumacraft! One salmon around 20 inches caught and released. Only other hit was a 7lb laker we caught in Converse Bay. Only 10 ft down , it put on quite a fight. My buddy kept that one for the smo...
