Re: Port Henry - 11/23 Salmon Slam

Awesome day, and from all your prior posts well deserved. Hopefully these fish will grow into some beautiful 2yo's next spring and summer.

November 15 16 and 17

Launched Tuesday about 10:00. Set up by Garden heading to Thompson's. Spread consisted of 2 riggers with cheaters and 2 slide divers. Didn't see much till we rounded the point. Just before the humps, in the deep water, the rods started firing. Picked up 2 salmon and 2 lakers, then headed to the mans...

Re: Westport - 11/9

May be heading up next week, was wondering about conditions at the Westport ramp? Are the docks still in, if not is the shoreline sandy enough to climb into a 22' walk-around if I bring a small ladder? Thanks in advance for your reply and thanks for a great report.

Re: Lodging

Thanks Steve and Randy. We have stayed at both places in the past and both are in play this November. Tilting toward campground. I know water in Converse will be low, but the docks will still be in. I have 22' walk-around and it's tough getting in and out without dock. Thanks again!

Lodging

Hi all, was planning on fishing with the frostbiters in mid November, mid week. Having trouble finding accommodations. Many motels are booked for housing. Anyone know of a place near Converse? Thanks

Re: Nov 14-17

Mostly all fish came at about 34'. I did notice some fin clips on the lake trout, but not on all. As far as lampreys, a few of the fish were scarred, but most were clean, a good sign!

Nov 14-17

Arrived on Sunday and fished a few hours for 4 lakers. Launched in Converse daily. Monday and Tuesday we set out and headed South. Trolled all the way to Button Bay on VT side picking up lakers along the way. Surface was around 50degrees. Didn't find any breaks at all to 100'! Fished 2 riggers with ...

Looked like a great turnout! Congrats to the winning Angler. Can't wait to drop some lines, we'll be up the week of the 14th, launching from Converse.
Nice job on the video Ron!

Re: Are these both salmon or is one a brown?

Top fish is definitely a LLS. To me, bottom fish looks like a steelhead, with spotted tail and iridescent body.

Lakers and fleas

We started out with high hopes Wednesday after the great bite Tuesday evening. We set up on the ridge south of Thompson's, trolled around the point into Converse. Same setup, riggers with cheaters and slide divers. Picked up a few lakers, then headed across to Split Rock. We did get one 20" sil...
