Smelt
Does anyone know why smelt stay so deep say 120-150 ft when water temp at 75-80 ft is the same. Have seen this a lot with bait that deep and with fish probably Lakers with them. It is 48 deg at 130 and 48 at 90 ft but no fish or bait. Could it be the oxygen level?

Alewives
We caught many lakers and a good number of salmon this year in the Willsboro bay area and found only one fish with a Alewive in it. two years ago at least half the fish had them. Is it our area we fish or are they decreasing in number. Anyone having the same results?

Re: repo
I have caught many Lakers and a number of salmon around the Willsboro point and bay area and of all the fished cleaned I only found one Alewive in one fish. Two years at least half the fish had them. Has their numbers declined or is it just where we are fishing?
