Salmon from my understanding are going to tend to hang out at the thermocline once it sets in, on champ that can be as far down as 80-100 feet depending on year and wind etc. Lakers will almost always be below the thermo, while salmon sometimes (especially late season)can tend to come out of temp t...

i caught some serious white perch there in front of keeler bay, however in the upper part of IS I never had a single bite - i guess my dues are still vetting

fished saturday and sunday @ Cumberland bay, used dipsy divers with copper colored spoons and caught lakers both days, they were hitting in 50-60ft of water

Mudchuck - Perchbait caught a laker a few weeks ago off the east side of Savage while we were trolling for salmon! Quite a surprise. Assumed he had a nice walleye on and was shocked to see it was a laker. 1st IS laker I'd ever seen. It was small by broad lake standards ... about 25" if I remem...
