Fun rotary

I had a great rotary minus sat and Sundays wind. We manage a lot of salmon and Lakers. Including 4th in in laker and a 5.9oz salmon that held top 5 for awhile. It helped us finish 2nd in team. Started south Friday and fished north sat and Sunday. The wind made for some hard work, but fishing with my...

Re: 2022 FROSTBITE SHOOTOUT CANCELLED

I was actually looking forward to getting up at 3am to drive 2-2 1/2 hours to fish and meet you all. Checked the forecast this morning then later saw the fb post. Risky ride to potentially be too rough to fish. I still plan to get there before ice in. Stay safe and best of luck to whatever fishes to...

Re: Salmon on a Stick

Caught a 6.5lb salmon on almost the same lure 10 years ago north of Valcour. It was a dark green back instead of blue. I run both often for lake trout. Definitely a nice surprise to get silver on them occasionally

Re: New Vessel!

Pay particular attention to the drain ports there was a time when they used hardware that couldn’t handle the UV. Inspect from the exterior for stress cracking . The plastic will shatter when stressed at the hose . Replace with hardware made of Marelon a super tough plastic or stainless thru hull h...

Re: New Vessel!

Looks like a great rig. 2 things to consider doing. Pull the heads on the motor, check out the water passages, make sure you don't have any build up in there. I'm assuming it was a saltwater boat, coming from NC. Schedule a canvas install now (if it doesn't have it already) for next year's frostbit...

Picked up my new boat last weekend in NC. It's home in my shop now. Rigging electronics, riggers, etc. So excited to get it on the pond

Another fun weekend

Had a great time as always fishing Champlain. Caught more than enough small Lakers with several in the 6-8lb range. Tried to chase salmon around most of the time with quite a few in the 18-20" range. We landed and weighed in a 7lb 5oz beauty which was my friend Colin's pb. Enjoyed talking to an...

Re: TEAM POINTER ROTARY REPORT

Thanks for the kind words, guys. Tom...A gallant effort by that big fish earned him his release, with a big thank you for playing with us. PB Salmon of 8.64 lbs for my boat came a few years ago during LCI. Brian Pratt caught the beaut with Pat on the team. Pat's been the common denominator, but Kev...

Re: Bad luck or Cursed

Drift socks work great. I run a pair of 42" socks. My kicker is now only an emergency backup motor to get me off the lake.

Re: 2020 LCI DERBY REPORTS

Jim, The spoon that Buzzy and Jeremy caught the big salmon on was purchased through a Crazy Ivan silent auction, he paid $800.00 for it. Four sets of spoons were Auctioned off last year for a grand total of $2,350.00. All the money goes to The Three Day Stampede for the cure of Cystic Fibrosis. For...

We use to do a photo of the year contest. The photo of Taylor sitting in the live well looking at her phone is an absolute classic and the best fishing photo i have seen in years.

Haha well thanks. She definitely cooled down in that heat.
